The Personal Project Manager is a coaching and development site focusing on the people side of project management.

The Personal Project Manager guides project managers, other project management professionals, as well as project management organizations to build strong business relationships and leverage the talent of your project team to deliver projects which will satisfy and delight your sponsors and stakeholders.

In addition, The Personal Project Manager will help project managers and other project management professionals in the personal development to become more productive and more effective in their jobs.

My name is Ed Anderson and I am the Founder of The Personal Project Manager. I have over 20 years of experience managing large scale IT projects for several companies working primarily in the financial services industry.  I have managed project teams which have been cross-organizational, cross-functional, and global.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing at the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science in the Management of Projects and Programs from Brandeis University. I remain active in both schools, participating in a mentoring program for undergraduate business students at UConn and serving on the Advisory Board for the Project and Program Management graduate program at Brandeis. I have been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2003.

I live in Scituate, MA with my wife Jo-Anne and our sons Dan and Mitch.
